3 Unique ways to limit social media usage
Nowadays, many people who are under quarantine have a common joy in their lives: Social Media.

Social media is an indispensable part of our daily routines like brushing teeth, having breakfast ,showering, and so on. As soon as we wake up, first thing we do is checking notifications mostly.
Even though, technology helps us increase our productivity and keeps us updated with what is happening around us, it might be a huge distraction and waste of time.
As a person who uses social media actively and forgets how time passes by while checking the social media , I have found out 3 effective ways to restrict social media usage.
#1 Delete the apps that lead you to the social media and use browser to login your accounts:
Have you ever realized that when people get their phones and they tap on the social media icons instinctively? I do!
In order to prevent this from happening, remove the app on your phone. When you feel you crave to check your social media , login it by using internet browser. After a while, you’ll see that it discourages you to open as long as you do not have any thing urgent to check.
#2 Do not engage in any activity on your account:
Social media is all about conversation, building relationship and getting engaged in community. You can enjoy the social media without doing all these practices as well. I’ve realized that, whenever I try to constraint my phone usage, I set timer like 15 mins. When I write comment or post a story , i come back and check if I have any other comments under my post, dm s or how many likes i got. I stopped posting or writing comments or sending messages to prevent that. I guess it works!
#3 Use pomodoro apps :

Pomodoro is a method that uses a timer to break down work into intervals. While studying, reading or doing any kind of activities that need extra focus, I use the focus keeper app. Instead of checking my phone several times in an hour, I work 25 mins and reward my self 5 mins on the social media usage. When you try that, not only do you build new habit but also limit your time on phone.
I highly believe that these 3 ways will help you to take under control your social media usage time!
